My inspiration comes from everyday items, which very often will be thrown away, but get a second life in my studio.

 

Besides glue, paint, plastic foil, and binders, I use leftovers of received parcels, cleaning activities or parts of worn out clothes which I put aside as much as possible. This ends up in an enormous collection of packaging material, caps, lids and surplus stuff that still can be (re)used.

 

With “trial and error” I adjust the selected materials to a soft surface with pins. I’m varying endlessly until the desired result: a colorful, funny image for a photo to be printed on an aluminum panel.
